Tributary
Habitat Program

Through the Tributary Habitat Program, MSRF works with partners to
improve tributary spawning and rearing habitat while meeting local
water needs. Project components include removing fish passage barriers,
screening diversions and improving fish passage, improving water
delivery efficiency, and protecting and enhancing riparian areas.

The Tributary Habitat Program also:
  • boosts the local economy
  • reduces regulatory and financial burden for irrigators
  • improves water delivery
  • develops locally-controlled projects
  • fosters community involvement and lasting partnerships
